Terms of use and disclaimer
Draft for the beta. These terms will be reviewed by a lawyer before launch.
The service
TieSplit is a tool that helps tennis clubs run sessions, draws, scores, rankings and club accounts. It is provided “as is” and “as available”. We work to keep it accurate and available, but we do not promise that it will always be error-free or uninterrupted, or that results, rankings or balances shown are free of mistakes.
Playing tennis is at your own risk
Tennis is a physical activity that carries a risk of injury. You take part in any session, match or activity arranged through TieSplit at your own risk. Check your own health and fitness, and follow the rules of the venue. TieSplit does not organise, supervise or insure any session or venue.
Clubs are responsible for their activities
Each club decides its own sessions, rules, levels, rankings, fees and membership, and is responsible for them and for how it treats its members and guests. Disagreements about a club’s decisions are between the club and its members. Venues, court bookings and access arrangements are between the club and the venue.
Fees and payments
Club fees, dues and payments are agreements between a club and its members. TieSplit records what clubs and members enter; it does not hold, transfer or guarantee money, and it is not a party to any payment. Check your club’s payment details with the club.
Your account and what you post
Keep your sign-in safe and your details accurate. Do not post anything unlawful, abusive or that you have no right to share. Clubs and TieSplit may remove content or accounts that break these terms.
Personal data
We collect only what the service needs (for example your name and email) and use it to run the service for you and your clubs. We do not sell personal data. Club managers can see what their club needs to run its sessions. You can ask us to correct or delete your data, except records a club must keep (such as match results and money records).
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, TieSplit and its operators are not liable for any injury, loss or damage arising from tennis sessions, venues, club decisions, payments between clubs and members, or the use of or inability to use the service, including indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Changes
We may update these terms. When the changes matter, we will say so in the app. Using TieSplit after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Contact
For questions about these terms, contact the TieSplit team through your club’s managers, or at the contact details that will be published here before launch. These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore.
